I would like to take this time to commend the Dunmore Oilers Organization. Too often we as officers, coaches and coordinators are criticize for various things most of which we have no control over. It was brought to my attention that when the final whistle blew to end the game between Lakeland and Dunmore for the conference championship a player from the Dunmore A Team took off his helmet and clapped his hands to congratulate Lakeland. This was a positive reflection of the Dunmore Oilers Organization and the ACC. This was a true display of sportsmanship. You guys are a class act. There are some HEALTHY rivalries in this league and the Dunmore/Lakeland rivalry is one of them.

In recent weeks there have been incidences and occurrences that may be construed as controversial or contentious, e.g. late player roster add-ons, decision (voting) methods, coach conflicts, media attention. It is my belief that the ACC mission statement should be first priority in all decisions and actions, even considering By-Law guidelines. Every action and decision must be guided by what is "in the best interests of the League"! Let's examine these cases: 1) Decisions on late players added [not in best interest unless allowing a program to field a team, because it invites teams to bring in a stud FB player for playoff purposes]; 2) Decisions by phone vote [in the best interests for urgent needs with limited time for programs to coordinate internally]; 3) coach altercations [not in best interests under any circumstances]; negative media attention [NOT in best interests because the ACC can resolve all circumstances reasonably and rationally without interference from a media circus].
The ACC is one of the best youth organizations I have been involved in, compared to youth soccer, baseball, basketball because it has all the right motives. Let's keep it that way, and if ByLaws changes are in order, that guideline can be revised accordingly each year.

It was really a great thing to see the sportsmanship of the D/I teams at the All Star Game. It's obvious that the coaches did a great job in teaching their teams how to be good sports and the spirit of cooperation of the players.

It was fun to watch the Wallenpaupack Jr. Bucks, the Moosic Raiders and the Valley View Cougars all cheering for each other, and playing well as a unit. This is the way football is supposed to be, FUN FUN FUN!!!!!

The I-team all star game was great! I never thought I'd see the day to hear my little Vikes yell "let's go Devils!" and the Little Devils yelling "Let's go Vikes!". The I team game is a wonderful way to promote teamwork and sportsmanship. Great Job to Pocono Mountain on hosting.

Just wanted to let Lakeland Chiefs "C" team coaches know that their players showed great sportsmanship after their loss to Honesdale this past weekend. Several Lakeland players told our boys that our team was really good. It was nice to hear it from the boys after a hard fought game.
